“Beyond thyself shall thou build.” Friedrich Nietzsche “超越自己,你才能成为自己。” 尼采 To lead wisely is to cultivate from root, through growth, to fruition that which is of greatest intrinsic value. We start with the Dance of Isadora Duncan as the model for the resurgence of the individual, the culture in which the individual lives, labors and loves and ultimately for leadership in dance’s positive repercussions in the world. Herein, we are summoning up the dance to function as a real and metaphorical deliverance to practice, understand and forge a readiness widely within our lives to breathe, move, stand and lead in our given environments. The goal to see our potential anew will be accomplished at the level we bring our preparedness to the powerful medium of Duncan’s art and ideas as well as Laban’s movement and theory. It, also, will build inter-personal skills to make future leaders more capable of relating to all kinds of people, and communicating, perceiving, impacting, challenging, mentoring to reveal the hidden greatness in others.
